Seoul plans to send most of its flood relief aid to North Korea by the end of this month.
The US$39 million aid package includes cement and trucks to help restore damages caused by severe flooding early last month.
The Unification Ministry says it will begin by moving 60 trucks to the North next Monday.
The construction materials and equipment are being sent to the North upon Pyongyang's request.
The hunger-stricken North received up to 80 percent of its average rainfall in a week from Aug. 7 and at least 200 people have died in the disaster
